Toontrack releases Transistor Organ EKX and updates EZkeys to v2.1.5

Toontrack has released Transistor Organ EKX, a new expansion for EZkeys, which has been updated to v2.1.5.

Transistor Organ EKX

Transistor Organ EKX features a one-of-a-kind instrument created by combining advanced synthesis and modulation with sampled sounds. Toontrack says the result is a broad and powerful expansion with sounds inspired by some of the most iconic transistor organs ever built.

Equal parts rhythm engine, hook-carrying melody machine and purveyor of hypnotic atmosphere, classic transistor organs have long been a defining force in the DNA of psychedelic rock, garage, pop, reggae and beyond. From the pioneering acts of the 1950s to artists at the forefront of the scene today, their unmistakable twang still cuts through the mix with the same vitality it had when these instruments first rolled off the factory floors. This EKX is an homage to the transistor organ as a whole – not just a model, but the sound, the vibe and the indelible impact it has etched into music history.

The Transistor Organ EKX features a one-of-a-kind instrument inspired by some of the most iconic transistor organs ever built. It was captured by combining advanced synthesis and modulation with sampled sounds, resulting in a broad and powerful instrument.

Taking some of the most defining sounds as a starting point and building from there, it offers a scope covering more than 40 unique and mix-ready tones. These range from raw and organic to layered and creatively textured, including sounds involving string- and pad-like elements. In addition to the presets, a versatile MIDI library of arrangements created specifically for each preset is included, allowing you to start writing immediately with a perfectly matched combination of performance and tone.

If you’re looking for more than just an organ – one that delivers all the genuine sounds, feels and vibes without being boxed into a mold – this EKX is for you.
