Noisebud has released Shape2 Advanced veresion 1.50, a major update to its low-end shaping plugin designed primarily for mastering and mix-bus processing.
Shape2 Advanced focuses on controlling the lowest part of the spectrum without affecting the rest of the mix. Instead of relying on traditional EQ or compression, the plugin reshapes the behaviour of the bass itself using a waveshaper-based process combined with envelope control and peak limiting.
Version 1.50 introduces a new workflow where the waveshaper can be turned off completely, allowing the plugin to function as a dedicated low-end envelope shaper and limiter.
The update also expands the envelope section with Attack and Curve controls, giving more detailed control over how low frequencies react and recover. The original waveshaper processing remains fully available, so the plugin can still be used exactly as before.
Shape2 Advanced can be used for anything from subtle tightening of the bass to extreme low-end shaping, and is particularly suited for mastering scenarios where precise control over the lowest frequencies can improve headroom and translation.
