Windows-G has announced the release of E-DelayFX700, a JSFX delay plugin for REAPER that can be used to create a wide range of delay effects, from basic single delays to classic ping-pong delays and a wide variety of creatively panned stereo delays.
E-DelayFX700 features two delay modes:
- Free mode: Allows independent left and right delay times from 0 ms to 10,000 ms (10 seconds).
- BPM Sync mode: Synchronizes the independent delay times to the host’s tempo using 25 musical note values ranging from 2/1 to 1/128, including dotted and triplet options.
Independent Left/Right Feedback controls (-100% to +100%) set the amount of echo repeats, with positive values (1% to 100%) for in-phase feedback and negative values (-100% to -1%) for inverted-phase feedback. It also features Left/Right Feedback Pan controls (-100% to +100%) that utilise true stereo panning to position echoes anywhere in the stereo field, from centered to cross-feedback to bouncing ping-pong patterns, using a –3dB sine-taper pan law to maintain consistent loudness across the stereo field. The L/R Feedback and Delay Time controls can be linked or unlinked.
Feedback high-pass (10 Hz – 20 kHz) and low-pass (20 Hz – 21 kHz) filters can be used to shape the tone of the repeating echoes, while the Wet high-pass (10 Hz – 20 kHz) and low-pass (20 Hz – 21 kHz) filters can be used to shape the tone of the entire delay effect. Blend the dry and wet signals with the dry/wet mix control (0%–100%) and adjust the final output level with the Output Gain control (-30 dB to +30 dB).
A Clear Buffer button instantly clears the delay buffers, and a smooth Bypass button toggles the delay effect on/off without audio clicks. Advanced interpolation ensures no zipper noise during slider automation or real-time adjustments, while the plugin operates with minimal CPU usage.
E-DelayFX700 comes with 15 factory presets that can be imported using the included RPL file. Instructions for importing the presets are provided in the « Installation & Preset Library Import » file included in the plugin download.
